Raised on the sultry sounds of jazz and educated in the metered spaces of New Orleans private schools, my home has become my heart. I was given the opportunity to discover my passion at the young age of 17, when I was given tools to empower others - who, then, could empower themselves. It is my calling.

Throughout my years, I have held many titles: brother, believer, educator, student, servant, leader. I am proud to add entrepreneur to this list. I was not born with it or forced into it. I am creating opportunities for change and developing jobs for individuals who want to remain in New Orleans.

The Village NOLA is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that seeks to empower individuals, families and communities through intensive onsite workplace literacy training. Our focus areas are: basic literacy training, GED preparation, and ESL training. We also understand that literacy is connected to other socio-economic issues therefore we will behave as a strong social service advocacy organization.
